Trowbridge Travels

This week for our Buick adventure we had a special treat. My wife Anna, and I were able to take Monday off. We decided to take advantage of our two day weekend by escaping to the mountains. The Rocky Mountains are full of amazing destinations, as most people know, so we struggled with where to go, and what to see. Estes Park is one of our more frequently visited spots, but we wanted to do something out of the normal. After a quick search on the internet (thank goodness for Google) we found a place that was off the beaten path we wanted to explore; Mt. Princeton Hot Springs! This hot springs resort isn't as well known as Thermopolis, or Glenwood Hot Springs, but that is what drew us to it. It is a smaller, less populated resort, but it still has a lot of appeal. As always, we enjoyed the drive in our Buick Verano. I hope you enjoy the beautiful scenery of this week's Trowbridge Travels.... ENJOY

This is the route we took... sort of.  We got off course slightly on the way, delaying us by about an hour due to heavy traffic.  The Verano has a 'heavy traffic' warning symbol and I should have paid better attention.  Lesson: women are always right.

Our tradition: take a picture in front of the house before we leave.

Traffic was pretty bad through Denver.  I guess the lesson here is that you should always listen to the Verano's GPS... she is always right... haha
 On the open road

Anna and I enjoying our ride!

Once we got outside of Denver, the scenery was beautiful!!

There were lots of little town along the way to explore.

This was a brothel in the 1800's!

Fairplay (AKA South Park City) is where the TV show South Park is based out of.

Notice Anna's white knuckles! She doesn't like driving next to cliffs, especially when I'm trying to take a picture of her!

 Another fun little town

We got to look at the mountains like this the whole trip!! It was beautiful!

There were a lot of lakes along the way too.  This picture was taken from a lookout along the road.

We drove through Breckenridge, but we didn't stop anywhere.

Continental Divide!! "Its all down-hill from here"

Our destination!! Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort!
We got to bring Charlie along for the adventure this time!

This was the view right outside our room.  The pool and waterslide are right behind us.
A view to the West from our room. Charlie definatly enjoyed himself.
One of the pools and the 400' waterslide!

Anna and I relaxing in the river! The water was 100 degrees!

 Breakfast in the little restaurant
 A look at our accommodations.
 More scenery to look at.

Room 22 was our room.  This was taken right before we headed for home.

Hope you enjoyed this weeks adventure! Please follow the blog, and if you ever have questions about our trips or our car please don't hesitate to ask.  We would also love recommendations for our future trips!! Thanks for reading!!

Town Hopping

There are great small towns all over the US. For this week's adventure, we decided to town hop all along North Eastern Colorado. Small towns have a lot to offer; eateries that aren't your average chain restaurants, experiences unique to small towns, and great scenery. Our Buick adventure includes all of these things. Here are the pictures of where our Buick took us......

Our Buick Verano in Haxtun Colorado
"A small town with a big Heart" is the quote on the town sign.  That couldn't be more accurate.  This proud little  town is full of agriculture and athletics.  Yards are well kept, store fronts are bright and ready for business.  This is a great little town to visit and explore!

While we were in Haxtun we did a little trap shooting.

Haxtun is far from any busy city.  You can see for miles

On our way home we drove through Yuma.  This is another fun little town.  We stopped at the "Dairy Bar" and got some coffee drinks.
Otis is another little town along the way.  There isn't much there to explore however...
 Akron has some neat stores
We got lunch in Brush at "Home Run".  A locally owned restaurant that serves just about anything you would want from Mexican food to Breakfast.

Its amazing what you can find when you take the time to explore.  Our Buick made this day trip very enjoyable.  We can't wait to see where Buick takes us next!!

As always, if you have any ideas of where we could explore next let us know!! :)

Where Can Buick Take You?

My wife and I are leasing a 2012 Buick Verano.  This is the most comfortable car I've ever driven! It handles very well, and is incredibly quiet. Wherever we go, what ever kind of driving conditions, we love our Verano.
My wife and I have started a tradition; every Tuesday we try to have ourselves a small adventure.  There are so many interesting towns to visit within a few driving hours from where we live.  Tuesday mornings, without realizing it, we started saying "Where will our Buick take us today?"  Early on that saying was just something to get us planning the adventure that awaited us, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that was a perfect title for a blog like this one.
From now on, I am going to write about the adventures of where our Buick takes us on our Tuesday adventures.  We enjoy our adventures so much, we wanted to share them with you!!  When reading this, I want you to think...where could a Buick take you?

             ENJOY..............................

The following pictures are just to catch you up on some of our recent adventures!!
This is taken at Weld County Garage in Greeley, Colorado, right after we signed the papers!!

Thank you for taking time to take a little tour of our recent adventures! I hope you enjoyed the pictures, the scenery and the shared memories.  If you have a suggestion of where to take a little day trip we would love to hear them!!

    Sincerely,

Introduction

I wanted to start this blog for a couple of reasons.  The number one reason is to help build a customer base.  The more people who know who I am, what I do, and what I stand for, the better I can grow my client base.  The second reason for this blog is to help educate and inform future car buyers.  The more the customers know, the better.  I want people to be able to see that Weld County Garage, and myself are transparent and honest.  I want people to feel at home when they come buy vehicle from me; I want them to trust me, and the dealership I work for.

Weld County Garage has been in business since 1908.  Being the oldest Buick dealer West of the Mississippi River, they have earned a very reputable name for themselves.  Happy customers and life-long friends grace our dealership daily.  We pride ourselves on the amazing customer service, but more than that, we pride ourselves on the honesty we show to everyone.  "The Garage" is heavily involved in the community; donating, volunteering and reaching out to the Weld County area.

If you are in the market for a new vehicle, or know of someone who is, please consider Weld County Garage.  I promise I will deliver the best customer service, and be nothing but honest.  That's how I want to do business, that is what I want my reputation to be; honest and hard working.  I am DRIVEN TO DO WHAT'S RIGHT!
